The OSHO Evening Meeting

SATURDAYS. 8.30-9.30 - OSHO DYNAMIC MEDITATION.

Osho Dynamic Meditation is one of the most famous active meditations created by Osho. This meditation aims to move stagnant energy and break conditioned patterns in the body-mind that keeps one imprisoned in the past. This is a fast and intense meditation that allows the practitioner to experience freedom, silence and peace that are hidden behind those prison walls.

Dynamic meditation is meant to be done in the morning, when “the whole of nature becomes alive, the night has gone, the sun is coming up and everything becomes conscious and alert.”

The Dynamic Meditation lasts one hour and has five stages. This meditation can be done alone, but the energy is more powerful if it is

done in a group. It is best to have an empty stomach and wear loose, comfortable clothing.

“This is a meditation in which you have to be alert, conscious, aware. Whatsoever you do, remain a witness”.

Due to our studio being located in a residential area, we offer an adapted version of Dynamic Meditation as not to disturb our neighbours.

WHAT ARE OSHO ACTIVE MEDITATIONs?

Different types of meditation techniques have been designed by the indian mystic Osho, over a long period of experimentation. These enable us to consciously express, experience, and release repressed feelings and emotions and to bring the body back to a relaxed harmony – only then the journey inwards can begin.

Each meditation starts with physical activity such as breathing, shaking, dancing or humming and is followed by relaxation and stillness. This is when meditation can happen – a time to just be aware of your bodily sensations, thoughts and feelings in a self-accepting way without judgement.

How do they work?

Unrelieved tensions block the natural flow of energy in our bodies. This affects our ability to think and the way in which we relate to others. Osho Meditations dissolve these blocks and allow us to become more natural and relaxed.

Who are they for?

Osho Meditations are especially designed for people who want to bring a new quality of ease to their busy, pressured lives. For men and women who not only care about their bodies and their health, but who also like to feel at ease inside. For people who want to become more calm and flexible, without being controlled by the opinions of others.

WHO IS OSHO?

Osho has had an immense influence on the world of meditation and personal growth. His vision embraces both the timeless wisdom of the East and the highest potential of Western science and technology.

Osho was born in 1931 in Kuchwada, a small village in the state of Madhya Pradesh, central India. He became enlightened at the age of 21 while studying at the university. After nine years of teaching as a professor of philosophy, he leaves the university to devote himself entirely to the raising of human consciousness. Osho then started to conduct intense ten-day meditation camps on a regular basis, and in 1974 he established his ashram in Pune.

Osho was the first spiritual teacher to combine Western therapy with Eastern meditation. His active meditation techniques, designed especially to help contemporary people to unburden feelings of mental stress, release physical tension and provide a relaxed state of meditation and inner harmony.

About his own work Osho has said that he is helping to create the conditions for the birth of a new kind of human being “Zorba the Buddha” - one whose feet are firmly on the ground, yet whose hands can touch the stars.

His thousands of talks cover everything from the individual quest for meaning to the most urgent social and political issues facing society today. He spoked about psychology, philosophy, Yoga, Sufism, Tao, Zen, Tantra and Hasidism. Osho emphasized the importance of meditation, awareness, love, celebration, creativity and humor – qualities that he viewed as being suppressed by adherence to static belief systems.

Osho’s books are not written but are transcribed from audio and video recordings of his talks to international audiences. As he puts it, “remember: whatever I am saying is not just for you... I am talking also for the future generations.”

Never Born. Never Died. Only Visited Planet EARTH Between 11 December 1931 – 19 January 1990.

“Love is my message – let it be your message too. Love is my color and my climate. To me, love is the only religion.”
